My preference is to have the absolute minimum number of fonts enabled, because that's all I use. (I think "required" =~ the set of fonts that Font Book refuses to disable, yes?) It seems to me that the list of required fonts grows with each new version of MacOS, and thus the number of fonts visible in app font menus. If you don't have it you can try some similar fonts here: SIMILAR FREE FONTS for Sinhala Sangam MN. If you have installed iOS 10 it should be available. This font is part of iOS 10 software package so it cannot be downloaded separately.
